New Years Eve 2009
Cliff Newman has hired Bucky Moon and The Country Connection for this years "New Years Eve" event. Plans are to have a New Years Eve Roast Beef dinner, with dance to follow. $20.00 a person for dinner, dance, champaign and party favors at midnight. 6:30 pm - 1:00 am. Tickets for the event are on sale now. They will be available until for pre-sale until December 18, 2009. Bucky plays from 9:00 pm to 1:00 am. Please come and help make these events successful. Thursday Night Bingo
Our doors open at 4:00 pm. We start selling the games at 5:45 pm and stop at 6:45 pm at which time the Bingo games begin. We have hard boards and paper games. Bonanza, 60/40, jackpot, specials and a magic number. Children are allowed to come and play and must be controled at all times. The ladies auxiliary opens a concession stand where they offer for sale snacks, sandwhiches, soup, hotdogs, pizza, coffee, soda, and water.
We need to have some men Post members who wouldn't mind coming in, to call bingo, maybe give the ladies who currrenly are doing this a break. This is supposed to be the Posts game. Come on folks, how about giving these dedicated ladies a break, even once a month would at least give them a break and maybe keep them from getting burned out. You can come in and check us out any Thursday evening.
Any of our Ladies Auxiliary members interested in working the concession taking over for Evelyn Seaver the 2nd Thursday or Louise Cole and Bev Pocorri the 3rd Thusday of each month kindly call Linda Barrett at 607-642-8706. These ladies have worked the concession many years and are ready to give it up. It consists of approximately 4 hours once a month. Details will be explained if interested. Come on ladies...how about giving us a hand!
Queen of Hearts game
Q of H. Anyone can play except elected officers and paid workers. It is a raffle to pick a card. Drawing is held at 2000 hrs on wed. night. Need not be present to win. If you are present you can pick your own card , if not someone will pick it for you. Q of H wins 60% of jackpot Post gets 40%.
